Develop Self Awareness

If you truly want to develop into a fully functional, 100% organic, Mind, Body and Soul machine, you must develop self awareness. Becoming aware of everything that is going on around you at all times and you react to this happenings will make it easier to deal with life's little ups and downs.

The best way to start doing this is to take a step outside of your physical body. Try to pretend that you're watching yourself in a movie scene. Pay close attention to your facial reactions, your posture and the vibe that you are giving off. What do you see? Are you cool, calm and collective? Are you proud of yourself? Could you be handling the situation better? Trust me, you need to become your own worst critic. Set an extremely high standard of self presentation and work to achieve it.

Once you get better at handling difficult situations from a physical reaction standpoint, it's time to move into your mind. As we've all been taught since we were kids, body language is over 60% of a conversation. However, in today's digital world with emails, texts, instant messages, pins, etc, etc, the words you choose are now more important than ever. Think before you speak or type. It's that simple. Question the words that you have selected before you send them on their way to their destined recipient. How is that person going to react? Not sure? Well how would you react if someone said the same thing? Be accountable for your words because they can make all the difference in the world when it comes to building and maintaining relationships.

Now that you have your the physical and verbal down pat, focus on your soul messages. So what do I mean by that? Basically, are your messages soul satisfying or soul destroying? If your messages and actions are positive and constructive without being hurtful or vengeful then your soul will grow stronger and so will the souls of those in your circle.

This is just scratching the surface when it comes to building self awareness but take a minute to thing about these simple principles as a good starting point.
